There really isn't much to say right now, so I thought I would just leave you with some bulleted points of my life...
~I tried to dye my hair today...a lighter color. I want to get it back to my normal shade of blonde so that it doesn't look ridiculous when it is inevitably bleached by the sun this summer in Phoenix. Dark hair + the sun + hair that is naturally bleached by the sun = sheer horror. ~I have never sounded more like a Miami girl than I do in that prior bulleted thought. ~I watched "Victor/Victoria" with Megan tonight and tried to think of how it would be cast using the members of MN. Unfortunately, I didn't get very far. Every character was either played by Rachel, Bindel, or Bob. I also managed to get myself in as the secretary and Kenny as the guy who balances on the bottle. ~If you don't know who I am talking about from the movie, you really need to see it. Just talk to me, okay? ~I got an incredibly belated graduation card in the mail today from one of my mom's friends. It made me smile, because I never realized who long I have actually known this woman. She went so far as to mention that she remembers when my mom told her that she was pregnant with me. Crazy. ~"Victor/Victoria" was actually made in 1982. Does that make the girls from Girls' Night feel any better (The movie was made in 1984, so it is 20 years old...Oh my God, we are NOT that old!")? ~The weather in Oxford was amazingly beautiful today. It felt like springtime. Needless to say, I managed to turn what could have been a short trip into an entire afternoon of me, a beautiful day, and good music in my cd player. ~I bought two books today at the bookstore Uptown. I know they are particular favorites of Katy's, for they are about the Nazis...and we all know how much Katy loved those National Socialists. ~Orlando Bloom is a terrible actor. I was watching "Pirates of the Caribbean" on Friday and came to this "stunning" realization. If it wasn't for the hotness of Johnny Depp (or Donny Jepp, as he also likes to be called), that movie might be tainted for me. ~"Love Actually" is as good a movie the second time as it is the first. I laughed at the same parts and I cried at the same parts. ~I realize that I have watched a lot of movies this weekend, and I still have two days of break. Oh how I love long weekends. ~I heart my Lakewood friends. I miss my Lakewood friends. I'm doing okay down here, don't get me wrong. I'm just missing you all a little more lately. Maybe it is because I am finally getting things back on track and am starting to feel the way I did when I was at home, in a way. One of the big differences is that a major component of that initial happiness is gone...you guys. Okay, so I think I have bulleted enough points tonight. I will now leave you with the song that has been stuck in my head for that past few hours. You will be surprised to hear, Rachel, that it isn't "Dance Ten Looks Three". I think I have weirded out enough people by walking down the street mumbling, "Tits and Ass...."
Things are okay with me these days
Do you remember those days hanging out at the village green? Billy Joel, "Scenes from an Italian Restaurant" I've only had this one section of the song in my head, and I don't even know all the words. So I have really had the tune in my head with select phrases added in. I guess I am done with this, another bulleted entry. To quote Mr. Joel, "Things are okay for me these days..." Now that I know what I need to do, it is all a little clearer for me. I'm back on track. |
