<< Please come back to me, Erma! >>

Okay, this is going to be an incredibly quick update.

For those of you who don't know at this point, my computer (Erma) died last week. After several calls to Miami's tech support, a trip to the tech support office, and several calls to the Gateway tech support, we have all come to the conclusion that Erma has experienced complete hard drive failure and needs to come home with me over Spring Break to go to the Gateway store in North Olmstead.

I guess it could be much worse. I don't have many papers to write this week, and everything I have ever written on the computer was saved to disk, so all I really lost were pictures and music - things that I can get back pretty easily.

This is the explanation I give for my recent lack of updates and my disappearance from AIM. I really miss talking to all of you! I've been able to sneak my way onto various school computers (they are beyond Ghetto....on a sidenote, how is it that Miami has money to buy an insane amount of plasma screen tvs but can't buy decent computers for the library?!), so as to quench my thirst for the addiction that has become INSTANT MESSENGER.

I will be home one week from today, and I cannot wait! It is just unfortunate that we will only have one weekend together. Lucky for us, we only have about six weeks left after that! Okay, maybe I am the most excited about THAT one.

Which brings me to my final point...I got into Bowling Green! Granted, they will need my grades from this semester before everything is finalized, but that just means that I need to keep my GPA over a 2.5. I feel like a great weight has been lifted from my shoulders...and my mom is so happy for me. Granted, I will miss the friends that I made here, but this will be better for me.

Okay, so much for a short entry! I better wrap this up so I don't get kicked out and lose all computer priveleges. I don't suppose that I can claim this diary as a school-sanctioned activity, can I?

See you next week!
